Assistant Director for Academic Programs in Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology, UCLA

The Multi-campus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is recruiting an outstanding scholar to engage in educational program development, leadership applied research and teaching in the areas of geriatric medicine and gerontology. The incumbent will serve as Associate Director of the UCLA Program for Improving Care of Aging adults through Training and Education (PICATE), a federally-funded three-year Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP). The successful applicant will develop program initiatives in geriatrics and gerontology workforce preparation, clinical practice improvement, interprofessional education, caregiver training, and research dissemination. Applications are welcomed from those with doctoral degrees (PhD or equivalent) in relevant areas such as gerontology, public health, social welfare, nursing, and education. Candidates must be eligible for faculty appointment, rank and series commensurate with qualifications and time commitment (full or part-time). Open until filled.

Health Sciences Clinical Professor Positions

UCLA Health and the Multicampus Program in Geriatrics and Gerontology at the David Geffen School of Medicine are recruiting for multiple Health Sciences Clinical Professor positions (rank and step commensurate with experience). The positions will include various amounts of ambulatory primary care and consultation, post-acute and long-term nursing home care, assisted living and continuing care retirement community, inpatient and consult attending responsibilities, and opportunities to attend on the Palliative Care service. Other responsibilities will include teaching UCLA medical students, medicine housestaff, and geriatric fellows. Candidates must be Board certified or fellowship-trained in Geriatrics. Req# JPF01443.
